SOUTHGATE — A red Nike backpack with a school Chromebook laptop was stolen from a white 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup the night of Oct. 8 from the parking lot of Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar, 19400 Northline Road.
Access to the vehicle was gained by smashing the front passenger side window.
The victim said the Chromebook was valued at $400, and the backpack has a $40 replacement cost.
The pickup was parked on the northeast side of the parking lot, near the railroad tracks and the trash bin.
