SOUTHGATE — A man who reported Nov. 9 that he had already spent $18,000 to obtain a “mail order bride from South Africa” said he recently became suspicious of some of the contacts he has made during the process, and wanted to document the transactions with law enforcement officials. He said he had no documents for the police officers to view.
