November 18, 2021 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — A man suspected of shooting a pet with a pellet gun this morning was arrested and is in custody pending formal criminal charges, police said.

Police were dispatched to the 8700 block of Shaddock about 8 a.m. on a report of possible shots fired. Responding officers located the suspect responsible and detained him while they investigated further.

The investigation revealed damaged property and an injured pet that had been shot with pellets.

While officers were investigating the shooting, a neighbor experienced an unrelated medical issue. The Fire Department responded, rendered aid, and transported the patient to an area hospital for further medical treatment.  The neighbor is listed in stable condition.
