SOUTHGATE — A smart phone notification on Nov. 26 that a tracking device was detected on her vehicle prompted a worried woman to contact police officers for help.
The victim said she had read about a recent crime trend in which women were tracked by criminal elements. She said that while she had no known enemies, she was worried about someone illegally surveilling her movements.
A police officer was unable to locate a tracking device on her vehicle, but encouraged her to take her vehicle to her dealership for a more thorough inspection.
