MELVINDALE — A Lincoln Town Car and a Cadillac Escalade were reported vandalized Nov. 25 at a repair shop in the 18800 block of Dix Road following a failed attempt to steal them.

On the Town Car, the rear driver’s side window was smashed, and the steering column was tampered with, but not completely broken. There also were traces of blood near the broken window and the driver’s seat.

On the Escalade, the steering column was extensively damaged, and blood was observed on the passenger and driver’s side rear door handles, the front seats and the center console.

Swabs were taken of the blood in both vehicles and taken into evidence.
