LINCOLN PARK — A Lincoln Park man who attempted to purchase a German Shepherd puppy online Dec. 6 was defrauded out of his purchase payment and crate fee, and never received the dog.

The victim said he became suspicious when the seller tried to charge him a fee for registering the dog with the city of Lincoln Park, and when he declined to wire more money, he began to receive threatening phone calls from the supplier. He said he has since reported the dog breeder to the Better Business Bureau.
