About 25 volunteers spent two hours packing over 1,200 stuffed animals for the Kiwanis Club of Riverview After Christmas Stuffed Animal Giveaway. The stuffed animals were distributed to local children during a drive-through Dec. 29 at the Riverview Community Center by the Kiwanis and the Riverview Police and Fire departments. A donation of nearly 700 12-inch-tall tall stuffed animals from Nicole Clark at PetSmart in Woodhaven was made as part of the giveaway, according to a Facebook post by Mayor Andrew Swift.
