MELVINDALE — A woman with a suspended license who was driving an uninsured black 2004 Honda Accord on Outer Drive near Allen Road on Dec. 22 resulted in the vehicle being impounded and towed, and she was advised to contact the 24th District Court for an appearance date.

The driver provided the police officer with an insurance certificate which proved to be invalid. The front seat passenger, the owner of the car and a licensed driver, as well as the unlicensed driver’s spouse, acknowledged that he knew she was driving with a suspended license.
