MELVINDALE — The driver of an uninsured red Dodge sedan fled a traffic stop the morning of Dec. 18 on Schaefer Road near I-75.
The driver turned south onto Fort Street, picking up speed and running two red lights. Because of slick road conditions and the potential for ice, the police officer terminated the pursuit.
A check of the Law Enforcement Information Network indicated that the vehicle was registered to a Romulus man.
