SOUTHGATE — A gray 2017 Dodge Charger was stolen early in the morning Jan. 6 from the parking lot at Village Green Apartments, 16500 Quarry Road.
The victim said the car had been parked for the past two weeks because it had a flat tire, but he had seen the car the night before it was stolen.
He said he heard a muscle car start up about 2 a.m., but said it didn’t worry him, as there are other loud cars that park nearby.
The victim said the car is paid off, so it wouldn’t have been repossessed. He said he still has the only set of keys. There was broken glass on the ground in the parking spot, indicating that a window was likely broken to unlock the car.
There were no suspects. The vehicle was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen.
