RIVERVIEW — A woman who backed her gray 2018 Ford Escape onto Jefferson Avenue the afternoon of Jan. 14 exited the car without putting it in park – leaving it in drive – and accidentally locked herself out of the vehicle, which then crossed four lanes of Jefferson Avenue and crashed into a nearby fence.

The right front fog lamp of the Ford Escape was broken when it hit the fence, which escaped major damage.
