SOUTHGATE — A gray 2018 Jeep was reported damaged Jan. 18 in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, 13555 Prechter Blvd., by a black Dodge Charger in an apparent hit-and-run.

The Jeep was struck on the rear passenger side, and was pushed up onto the curb by the impact, with black paint transfer visible. Additional surveillance evidence was obtained from the hotel manager.
