MELVINDALE — A loud, persistent humming sound, which persisted for hours outside of a resident’s house the night of Jan. 23, prompted them to report the noise to police officers.
However, the responding police officers were unable to detect the sound when they arrived at the location.
Unexplained sounds can be attributed to hearing loss or health problems, electrical malfunctions and mental illness.
