The Allen Park Fire Department worked to remove a vehicle from the Rouge River after the driver left it unattended, causing it to slide into the river Jan. 7. According to Allen Park police, the man stopped to urinate and failed to stop the vehicle from sliding into the river. He did not suffer any injuries. With the help of APPD, City Towing, the Dearborn Fire Department Technical Rescue Team and Melvindale police, the vehicle was removed from the river.
