DEARBORN — Two speeders who were recently cited for reckless driving both claimed they were in a hurry to reach their destinations.

On the night of Feb. 10, a man driving east on Ford Road near Chase Road was cited for driving 70 mph in a 50 mph zone. He was not wearing a seatbelt, and had his 14-year-old sister in the vehicle with him. He said he was in a hurry to get to a store.

On the morning of Feb. 12, a Lincoln Park man was cited for driving 72 mph north on Schaefer Road near Prospect Street in his 2015 Chrysler 200, with his excuse being that he was late for work.
