ALLEN PARK — A woman was apprehended Jan. 31 after she shoplifted tools valued at $272 from Home Depot, 3163 Fairlane Drive.
The suspect, who fled on foot, was found behind a nearby store, where she had thrown her distinctive jacket and the stolen items into a trash bin. Among the items recovered were a Milwaukee jig saw and multi-tool, two Husky six-piece wrench sets and a Husky low profile ratchet set.
The woman, who was cited for second degree retail fraud, was taken to Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn, after complaining of a health problem unrelated to her arrest.
