HEIGHTS — A Dearborn Heights woman was rescued from a Feb. 17 mobile home fire in Crestwood Estates, southwest of Warren Avenue and Beech Daly Road, when a thermal imaging camera found her heat signature when the smoke was too thick for anyone to see through it.
A city social media post said Cpt. Joshua Erickson was able to get the woman out in 30 seconds and may have saved her life. The residence had no working smoke detectors.
