ALLEN PARK —A stereo from a Chevy Suburban was stolen the afternoon of Feb. 19 while the vehicle was parked near the discount novelty store Five Below, 3140 Fairlane Drive.
A witness who was sitting in a nearby parked car said a red SUV pulled up next to the Suburban, and a man was in and out of the vehicle so fast, the witness initially thought the person had legal key access to the Suburban. He said the theft was the work of two men, whose faces he did not see.
The stolen sound system, valued at $300, had a DVD player attached. The vehicle’s dashboard was damaged by the theft.
