Veg Michigan speakers to discuss benefits of plant-based lifestyle

DEARBORN – The Dearborn Public Library will host Veg Michigan speakers Marc and Kim Ramirez to speak about the benefits of living a plant-based lifestyle at 6:30 p.m. June 23. The presentation will be held online via Zoom.

Marc Ramirez is a former University of Michigan football player and co-founder of the nonprofit Chickpea and Bean. He will discuss how he lost 50 pounds and reversed Type 2 diabetes and other illnesses with the power of plants.

His wife, Kim Ramirez, co-founder of Chickpea and Bean, will share tips and tricks about what to shop for and how to prepare food while transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle.
