DEARBORN – As part of the April Arts Month in Dearborn initiative, presented by The Dearborn Recreation Commission/Cultural Arts Committee and the Dearborn Community Fund, there is a new, free event for the community to participate in from noon to 5 p.m. April 23 at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.

ArtStop is a family-friendly event for the entire community that will feature art demonstrations, mini-performances, an exhibit at the Padzieski Art Gallery, and an immersive art installation experience presented by Sean Hages.

“This exciting and experiential initiative is part of our April Arts Month program, and is intended to bring everyone together while providing a sample of several artistic mediums at once,” said EmmaJean Woodyard, executive director of the Dearborn Community Fund.

Additional programs, events, and activities as part of April Arts Month can be seen by going to www.padzieskigallery.org.

Arts Month and ArtStop are also supported by sponsors across the city, including the East and West Dearborn Downtown Development Authorities; KW Legacy – Michael Philips Group; Ameriprise Financial, Jim Thorpe; Dearborn Federal Savings Bank; Malek Al-Kabob and Qahwah House.
