Pykor attains Eagle Scout rank

Ryan Pykor (left) a member of Boy Scouts Troop 816 at St. Alfred Catholic School in Taylor attained the rank of Eagle Scout March 12. He was presented a framed set of Scouting badges from troop committee member Rick Mousseau (right) last Sunday. Pykor lives in Taylor with his mother, Michelle (center) and brother Nathan. Ryan is a senior at Harry S Truman High School where he ranks 20th in his class. He recently spent 220 hours, raised money and guided to completion three projects to benefit the Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor: the purchase of musical instruments for the children, a bird bath for the center and a scratch pad device that allows the children to feel different textures
