TAYLOR — Game On Sports Center offers camps aimed at introducing youngsters to different extracurricular activities.
The center has six more camps available running Monday through Friday through Aug. 27, each with full- and half-day options.
Children ages 6 through 12 can participate in full-day camps from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or half-day camps from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Costs are $99 per week for full-day camps and $69 per week for half-day camps. Discounts are available for siblings and for participating in three or more camps.
The center will donate 5 percent of proceeds to each child’s school toward programs determined by the principals.
“There is a positive push from Michelle Obama and professional sports leagues to help get our kids back on track with healthy lifestyles,” Game On Sports Center general manager Scot Murdoch said. “We would like to encourage kids in our community to participate in sports and activities and learn skills to stay active. It doesn’t matter what their skill level is, we have the resources to educate any child.”
