November 27, 2010 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The family of fallen auxiliary police Lt. Dan Kromer will benefit from dinners served Wednesday at J.P. McGuire’s Bar & Grill, 21138 Goddard Road.

An all-you-can-eat taco dinner buffet will be served for $7.95 starting at 5 p.m., with proceeds benefiting the family of Lt. Kromer, who was killed Sept. 7 while assisting a stranded motorist on I-94 in Taylor.

Lt. Kromer, 54, lived with his wife in Berlin Township. He was a 20-year veteran of the all-volunteer Taylor Auxiliary Police Department and a past auxiliary officer of the year. Lt. Kromer was the first city auxiliary police officer killed in the line of duty.

For more information about the dinner fundraiser call J.P. McGuire’s at (313) 291-7372.
