Exercise classes registration ongoing

December 24, 2010 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TRENTON — Registrations now are being accepted for Pilates classes that start Jan. 6 at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 3101 West Road.

The hour-long sessions are designed to strengthen core muscles, improve posture and flexibility and create long, lean muscles rather than bulk. Organizers say Pilates is a gentle, low-impact exercise that engages the body and mind and leaves participant invigorated.

No experience is necessary. Taught by a certified Stott Pilates instructor, classes will be held for six-weeks from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Participants are advised to wear comfortable, stretchable clothing and bring a mat and 2-pound or 3-pound toning balls.

Cost is $50 for residents, $60 for nonresidents.

Call (734) 676-7300 for more information..
