Seniors can sneak in some aerobics

January 1, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TRENTON — Silver Sneakers Senior Aerobics sessions will be held at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Jan. 11 at the Kennedy Recreation Center, 3101 West Road.

Organizers say it is a safe and effective class designed for the active adult, ages 50-something and up.

Studies show that regular physical activity at all ages is vital to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and the main goal of this class, taught by certified fitness specialist Debbie Barnes, is designed to improve strength and embrace active aging.

Classes end Feb. 24

The fee is $23 for residents, $30 for nonresidents. For more information call (734) 675-7300.
