Mobs of children took over Elizabeth Park in Trenton Friday morning for the 29th Annual Great Marshmallow Drop. Courtesy of Wayne County Parks, the Easter Bunny helicopter let loose with thousands of marshmallows to be hunted by kids in three age groups. The treats from above were then redeemed for a special prize. The tradition brings thousands of children to town, often a legacy kept by parents who took part in the same ritual themselves.
