ALLEN PARK – The Receivership Transition Advisory Board moved its monthly meeting March 4 to Lansing out of fear of matters getting out of hand, city officials said.

The meeting is set for 2 p.m. in the Williams Auditorium in the G. Mennen Williams Building, 525 W. Ottawa St. in Lansing.

Two city officials said the meeting was moved because of fear residents would riot regarding the city administrator issue and city officials’ handling of her six-month severance package.

Officials are in negotiations with City Administrator Karen Folks, who is slated to receive a six-month severance package, totaling $47,500, despite her being dismissed with cause.
