TRENTON — Police are seeking information about a crash that landed a 56-year-old resident in the hospital with broken ribs and internal injuries.

Police said the man suffered four broken ribs and a lacerated liver after being hit on his bicycle by a vehicle on Fort Street 6:45 a.m. Nov. 26. Police are seeking information from possible witnesses.

Police said it isn’t clear if the avid bicycle rider was hit by another vehicle in a hit-and-run. They just want to know what happened. They know it was a dark colored small or midsize SUV involved in either hitting the victim or getting too close to his bicycle. Two witnesses driving behind the suspected SUV gave police a description.

Police said the victim was wearing reflective clothing and had flashing lights on his bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to call Trenton police at 734-676-4230.
