Results from recent speed trailers in Trenton

TRENTON – When the Police Department placed speed monitor trailers on Harrison and Marian streets in September, they found just how fast people were going.

The trailer on eastbound Harrison near Nicholas recorded 8,458 vehicles passing from Sept. 6 to 13.
• 1-14 mph total vehicles 3,500
• 15-19 mph total vehicles 2,384
• 20-24 mph total vehicles 2,011
• 25-29 mph total vehicles 526
• 30-34 mph total vehicles 28
• 35-39 mph total vehicles 3
• 45-49 mph total vehicles 1
• Above 50 mph total vehicles 5

The trailer on eastbound Marion near Bridge recorded 4,392 vehicles passing from Sept. 22 to 25.
• 1-14 mph total vehicles 363
• 15-19 mph total vehicles 450
• 20-24 mph total vehicles 2,015
• 25-29 mph total vehicles 1,385
• 30-34 mph total vehicles 170
• 35-39 mph total vehicles 8
• 40-44 mph total vehicles 1
