DEARBORN — The owner of Silver Spa, 24200 Michigan Ave. was arrested and charged with allegedly operating a prostitution ring.

Eunkyung Kim, 43, was arrested on Aug. 29 by police after an investigation — which was on and off for two years — generated enough evidence for an arrest.

She was charged for operating a prostitution house, a five-year felony, and accepting earnings from a prostitute, a 20-year felony, during her arraignment at 19th District Court.

Kim is in jail with a $200,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Sept. 21 for a preliminary examination of the evidence against her.

“This investigation is also ongoing,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said during a press conference on Sept 10. “It’s highly complex but we know that we have at least one charge pending and she’ll be in court on the 21st.”

Haddad also said the spa will be shut down for as long as the police department can keep it shut down. Additional details were not released.
