DEARBORN – Music legend Thelma Houston will help celebrate Motown’s 60th Anniversary June 29, with a performance of “My Motown Memories & More” at 8 p.m. at Michael A. Guido Theater.

In “My Motown Memories & More,” Houston shares her life story through a musical journey that includes many popular Motown songs and remembrances.

A limited number of special two-day ticket packages, priced at $65, are available, that include a prime seat for the show, a chance to meet Houston from 6 to 8 p.m. June 28 at the Motown Museum, 2648 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit — and tour the facility, and a photo opportunity with Houston the day of the performance.

Houston signed with Capitol Records — home of the Beatles, Nat King Cole and Nancy Wilson — in 1967 and released her first hit song, “Baby Mine.”

Houston moved on to Motown Records, joining such popular artists as Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross and Marvin Gaye.

While at Motown, Houston’s high-powered rendition of “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” earned her the Grammy Award for “Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.”

“My Motown Memories & More” is a lively, memory-filled show featuring a non-stop parade of instantly recognizable Motown hits, including “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” “Dancing in the Streets,” “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “Please Mr. Postman,” “Heatwave,” “Do You Know Where You’re Going,” “Don’t Leave Me this Way,” and her latest single “I Still Love you.”

Tickets, ranging in price from $25 to $45, are available at dearborntheater.com and at the theater box office, 15801 Michigan Ave., open from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
