
The Downriver Central Animal Control Agency received a $20,000 grant from Two Seven Oh Inc., a foundation which provides financial support to small Michigan 501(c)(3) organizations which focus primarily on environmental improvement and animal welfare.

WYANDOTTE – The Downriver Central Animal Control Authority received a $20,000 grant March 1 from the Two Seven Oh foundation, which will allow it to improve its facilities and purchase needed equipment.
Two Seven Oh Inc. of New Hudson is a foundation which provides financial support to small Michigan 501(c)(3) organizations which focus on environmental improvement and animal welfare.
The DCACA is a collaboration between the cities of Wyandotte, Southgate, Allen Park and Riverview, with two facilities, staffed by city of Wyandotte employees and volunteers.
The Wyandotte facility is at 1170 Grove St., and the Southgate facility is a 14300 Reaume Parkway.
The grant will allow the installation of new flooring in both facilities, as well as the painting of the Wyandotte facility.
The grant also will fund the purchase of a washer and dryer, an air purifier and filter, a stainless-steel table, an overhead door, benches, exterior lighting and other miscellaneous items.
