Trenton to host COVID-19 vaccine clinic for 5 Downriver communities

TRENTON — Residents in Trenton and Riverview may sign up for COVID-19 vaccine appointments at a clinic being hosted by the city of Trenton April 17 and 19.

In posts on Facebook, Mayor Steven Rzeppa said the city’s clinic was able to secure 600 more vaccines and appointment slots for April 17 and also acquire an additional vaccines to be administered on April 19.

The clinic will be held at the Westfield Activities Center, 2700 Westfield, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Anyone 18 and older can sign up for a vaccine appointment.

Residents of Gibraltar, Rockwood and Woodhaven who are 18 and older also are eligible to schedule an appointment at the clinic.

On March 20, Trenton hosted a vaccination clinic for residents 50 years and older at the center where 1,082 people were vaccinated.
