WYANDOTTE — A 27-year-old Livonia man was arrested and taken into police custody at 4:30 a.m. July 28, in the 900 block of Antoine Street, after he attacked a 61-year-old man at a private party, where he had been drinking heavily, which violated the terms of his parole.

The victim, who had multiple abrasions, a laceration on his arm and strangulation marks on his neck, said the younger man attacked him with no discernible provocation, striking him, and then grabbing him by the throat and lifting him off the floor.
