TAYLOR — A man who let a homeless woman sleep on his hotel room couch at Home2 Suites by Hilton, 14300 Pardee Road, reported Nov. 12 that she stole his wallet, laptop and rental car while he was asleep.

The victim, a 42-year-old Texas man in town for work, said the night before, at the Meijer Express gas station, 14640 Pardee Road, he was approached by a woman asking for money, who said she was cold.

He said he went to sleep at 1 a.m. Nov. 12, and when he woke up at 5 a.m., the woman was gone, as were his wallet with six credit cards, $100 cash, a black Lenovo laptop and the keys to his rental car. When he checked the parking lot, the car was missing, as well.

He described the woman as white and about 35 years old, with brown hair. She was wearing a black T-shirt, and gray sweatpants.
