TAYLOR —A man who stole more than $100 in merchandise on Jan. 30 from Walmart, 7555 Telegraph Road, was less successful the next day, when he tried to walk out with $37 worth of unpaid items.

The 27-year-old Southfield man, who is currently living at a Taylor motel, dropped the merchandise and fled when confronted by loss prevention personnel. He was later found in the parking lot by the responding police officers.

He was cited for his larceny attempt, banished from the store and advised that he could be prosecuted if he entered in the store in the future.
