HEIGHTS — An identity thief hacked into the bank account of a 24-year-old Dearborn Heights man, stealing $25 on Feb. 24, using a debit transaction device.

The man said someone also opened a Walmart credit card using his personal information, which he received by mail March 3 at his home address.

The victim said he had already contacted his financial institution. He was advised to also contact Walmart and the credit bureaus.
