RIVERVIEW — A 22-year-old Lincoln Park man was arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol at 1:12 a.m. March 13, on Fort Street near Williamsburg Drive, after he drew attention to himself by revving his 2011 green Dodge Ram’s engine and squealing the tires as he pulled out of a parking lot at a high rate of speed.

The driver smelled of intoxicants, and his eyes were watery and glossy. He admitted to having had four beers.

He failed multiple standard field sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test was administered, and the man had a blood-alcohol content of 0.151, almost twice the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan.

His vehicle was impounded and towed, and he was taken to the Riverview police station for booking. A search warrant was obtained, and he was transported to Beaumont Hospital, Trenton, for a blood draw. He was then returned to the Riverview police station, where he was held.
