HEIGHTS — A driver in a white Dodge Ram pickup drove across a rain-soaked Dearborn Heights lawn, leaving deep, muddy ruts in the grass April 11, before returning to the roadway and running a red light to flee the scene.
The driver also drove against oncoming traffic to slip into a subdivision to help ensure his escape.
The resident whose yard was damaged provided police officers with a photo of the pickup’s Michigan license plate number.
