TRENTON — Joshua Brown-McClure, 24, of Trenton is facing multiple charges in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a Detroit man.
Brown-McClure has been charged with one count of assault with intent to murder, one count of felonious assault and two counts of felony firearm, according to the Wayne County Prosector’s Office.
He was arraigned on May 8 in 36th District Court where he was given a $100,000 bond, 10 percent. A probable cause conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m May 18, and a preliminary examination of the evidence against him is set for 8:45 a.m. May 25 before Judge Kenneth King.
Detroit police were dispatched to an apartment building in the 110 block of Cadillac Square for a reported shooting. Once at the scene, police found the victim inside the building lobby suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper right arm and abdomen.
Medical personnel arrived at the building and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Police arrested Brown-McClure at the scene.
Following a preliminary investigation, it is alleged that a physical altercation in the apartment between Brown-McClure and the victim escalated. A handgun was then fired, non-fatally wounding the victim.
Charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
