MELVINDALE — A U-Haul rental truck was reported as stolen June 6, more than a month after it was engaged for a three-day rental from a provider located at 2363 Oakwood Blvd.

The rental truck, a white 2021 Chevy Silverado, wasn’t returned, and the renter ignored repeated phone calls. The phone number listed on the rental agreement proved to be an invalid number.

The vehicle was not listed in the Law Enforcement Information Network as impounded anywhere. It was subsequently entered into LEIN as stolen/failed to return.
