DEARBORN — A two-vehicle crash at westbound Ford Road and Artesian Street at 6 a.m. July 10 resulted in a 24-year-old Detroit man being charged with reckless driving and operating a vehicle without ever having acquired a driver’s license.

A witness said the Detroit man was driving west on Ford Road at a high rate of speed, in a red 2020 Honda Civic, when he struck the rear of a 2016 Ford Fusion driven by a 26-year-old Dearborn Heights man. The Honda Civic also hit a light pole and a road sign for Fairlane Town Center.

Paramedics were on site evaluating both drivers, and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Detroit man was advised to contact 19th District Court for an appearance date.
