LINCOLN PARK – Robert William Antosz, 52, of Lincoln Park was arraigned July 14 for the non-fatal July 12 shooting of a 55-year-old Flat Rock man and a 55-year-old Flat Rock woman.
In the past, Antosz was in a relationship with the woman. She was not injured.
It is alleged that on the night of July 12, Antosz broke into the couple’s residence and fire a shotgun at them. Antosz then allegedly ran after the man and fired at him again, shooting him in the back.
Flat Rock firefighters transported the male victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Flat Rock police officers saw Antosz leave the 24080 block of Chippewa Drive in a mobile home park in Flat Rock about 7:46 p.m. A brief vehicle chase ensued before Antosz was apprehended near eastbound Gibraltar Road and I-75.
Antosz was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, three counts of felony firearm, one count of first-degree home invasion and one count of fleeing and eluding.
He was arraigned July 14 in 33rd District Court in Woodhaven, and was given a $300,000 cash/surety bond with a GPS tether.
A probable cause conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 26, and the preliminary examination of the evidence against Antosz is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in Woodhaven.
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said serious, assaultive domestic violence continues to plague Wayne County.
