SOUTHGATE — More than $3,500 in unauthorized purchases were charged between April 7 and May 22 to a woman’s credit card, she reported July 12, and she identified a friend as the likely culprit.

The victim said she had allowed the friend to use her credit card in the past to order food, but that she had not authorized the subsequent dozen purchases, and wishes to press charges. She was advised to cancel the credit card.
