MELVINDALE — A license plate and tab were reported stolen July 9 from a gray Chevy Equinox while it was parked at the Outer Drive Manor apartment complex.

The victim, a 38-year-old woman, said she checked with a local car wash to make sure it hadn’t fallen off there, but a search produced negative results.

She said there was no sign of damage on the license plate holder, so she came to the conclusion that it was intentionally removed. The plate was entered into the Law Enforcement Information Network as stolen.
