HEIGHTS — A pedestrian on westbound Van Born Road west of Pelham Road angrily kicked a car the afternoon of July 20 that was turning while he was in the roadway.
The driver, a 67-year-old Dearborn Heights man, said he was turning from northbound Pelham to westbound Van Born when he spotted the pedestrian and slowed down. The man, a white male in his mid-20 wearing a baseball cap, kicked and dented the right rear quarter panel of the 2012 black Ford Focus. He then offered the driver a familiar digit salute before fleeing on foot toward a nearby convenience store.
