HEIGHTS — The steering column from a 2017 Chevy Malibu was reported stolen the afternoon of Aug. 6 while it was parked in the 25500 block of Ridgeway Street.
The victim said she arrived home at 1:30 a.m., and remembers locking the car when she parked it in the driveway. She said she fell asleep at 2 a.m., and does not remember hearing any noise during the night. At 1:30 p.m., she went out to her car and found the rear passenger window shattered and the steering column missing. Nothing else was stolen from the interior of the vehicle.
