SOUTHGATE — A female driver in her mid-20 who had been laying on the horn of a Cadillac sport utility vehicle in a residential neighborhood near Sussex and Devonshire Roads, at 1:12 a.m. Dec. 19, flipped off a police officer and fled an attempt to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver sped off west on Sussex, then crossed a field to reach northbound Allen Road, at which point the police officer lost visual contact. The police officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle of interest.
