Drunken woman missing purse

ALLEN PARK — A drunken woman who left an Allen Park bar on foot the night of Dec. 30 and ended up in Lincoln Park claimed she was assaulted and her purse was stolen.

However, when police officers checked with the bar, a staff member said the woman never had a purse in her possession and was unable to pay her tab. They said she became belligerent and threw her cell phone on the floor before leaving the bar.

Because the woman was incoherent, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.114, more than the 0.08 limit for legally drunk in Michigan, she was taken Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital for evaluation.

Her cell phone, which was given to a police officer at the bar, was held for safe-keeping.
