SOUTHGATE — A resident in the 12000 block of Chestnut Street reported the morning of Feb. 10 that a black Ford vehicle had been parked and abandoned in his driveway.

The man checked his property and contacted his immediate neighbors, but could not locate the owner of the vehicle.

A police officer ran the license plate through the Law Enforcement Information Network and determined that the vehicle had not been reported as stolen. It was then entered into LEIN as abandoned, and was impounded and towed.
